Privacy policy

landrush is a research tool for publicly listed land and property sales. This policy covers the personal information the service handles and what happens to it. The short version: we store what an account needs to work, we don't sell it, and you can have it deleted by asking.

What we collect

  • Account details. Your email address, and a salted hash of your password if you sign up with one. If you sign in with Google or Facebook we store your email and the provider's user identifier for your account — nothing else from your profile, and we never receive your password for those services.
  • Your activity in the product. Saved searches and alert settings you create, plus the search and delivery notes attached to a Research Pack you order.
  • Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store Stripe's customer, subscription, checkout, and payment identifiers, never your card number.
  • Server logs. Standard request logs (IP address, time, page) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention — for example, login rate limiting.
  • Product analytics. To understand how the site is used, we log the pages you visit, the searches you run, the listings you open, and on-page interactions such as how far you scroll or which result you click. These are tied to a random first-party id stored in your browser (not your name), and to your account if you're signed in. Your IP address and browser are stored only as a one-way hash. This data stays in our own database — it is not sold and not shared with advertisers.

The property listings themselves are compiled from public county, government, and law-firm sale postings and appraisal-district records. That is public-record data about land, not data about you.

How it's used

To sign you in, run the alert digests you asked for, operate your subscription, fulfill a Research Pack you order, and keep the service working and secure. We do not sell or rent personal information. We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure our advertising — it reports page views, account sign-ups, checkout starts, and purchases to Meta so we can see which ads bring people to landrush. You can limit this through your browser's privacy controls or your Facebook ad-preferences settings.

Cookies

One signed session cookie keeps you logged in, and a short-lived cookie secures the sign-in handshake with Google or Facebook. A first-party analytics cookie stores a random id so we can understand how the site is used (it holds no personal information). The Meta Pixel also sets cookies used to measure advertising; you can limit these through your browser or your Facebook ad-preferences settings.

Who else touches your data

  • Stripe — subscription and one-time Research Pack payments.
  • Google / Facebook — only if you choose to sign in with them; the exchange is limited to proving who you are and sharing your email address.
  • Meta (Facebook) — receives Meta Pixel data (page views and conversion events) so we can measure our advertising.
  • Our hosting and email providers — to run the service and deliver the digests you subscribe to.

Access and deletion

Email shakirsahab@gmail.com from your account address to request a copy of your data or to delete your account. Deletion removes your account, saved searches, alert history, and sign-in identifiers (including any Google or Facebook link); Stripe retains billing records it is legally required to keep. If you signed in with Facebook, this is also how you exercise Facebook's data-deletion requirement for this app.
