450 properties today: 450 state-owned properties you can buy by application without an auction. The list was last checked against the publisher's own on November 4, 2026.

This is Mississippi state-owned land: the owner's two years to pay the taxes ran out and the State now holds the title, so there is no buy-back after you purchase. The Secretary of State sells it by patent, which passes on the State's ownership with no promises about liens, access or condition. There is no listed price — the State quotes one when you apply, and the estimated minimum shown on each listing follows its rule: for land the State has owned outright under three years, at least half the county's market value or the back taxes and fees, whichever is more; after that, a tenth of the market value plus the back taxes and fees. This page is a research starting point compiled from public sources, not a title search.
