How Arkansas state land auctions work
In Arkansas, tax-delinquent land goes to the Commissioner of State Lands, which auctions it county by county through the year.
Arkansas sales are final: the owner can pay the taxes only until 4 p.m. the last business day before the sale, and has no right to buy it back afterwards. The buyer receives a limited warranty deed, with a 90-day period in which the sale can be challenged in court.
Some assessments and liens can survive the sale, so check each parcel before bidding. Parcels that don't sell can often be bought afterwards, and landrush lists those too.
